Peace Village is an initiative developed by Wahid Foundation (WF) with support from UN Women. It started in 2017 where WF engaged women in about 30 villages through peace education and entrepreneurship skills. At the end of the first phase, nine villages declared as Peace Villages. As the second phase begins just after mid-2018, interventions will focus to strengthen the peace component by involving the village government to operationalise Peace Village from commitment to concrete programs and policies at village level.
